A great start to the T20 season. The Excelsior I team kicks off with a win.
Electing to bowl, the Klapmuts I team struggled to keep down the runs with our openers scoring a 121 partnership. J Schreuder (54 off 38 balls) and Y Johnson (80* off 58 balls) opened brilliantly. After an unfortunate run out of J Schreuder, S Jacobs carried the team through to the 20th over with a quick 24 off 14 balls. Excelsior I finished with 173/2 after the 20 overs.
The Klapmuts I team’s batting didn’t provide any resistance against a good bowling outfit. Finishing on 76/8 after 20 overs.
